Home Health Aides Role in Home Care

• Assist with bathing, shaving and personal care
• Apply lotions/light massage
• Assist with dressing
• Assist with minor dressing/bandage changes
• Assist with exercises or take walks with clients
• Assist with ambulation of patients in and out of bed.
• Remind clients to take their medication, although they cannot prescribe drugs
• Assist with household chores such as changing bed linens, light laundry or cleaning.

Many patients would not be able to remain independent in their homes without the basic services and tender loving care provided by our Home Health Aides!

Home health aides are available in conjunction with medical necessity services such as physical therapy and or nursing not as a stand alone service.
